Kumaon Unveiled
The project is a transformative journey of an urban traveler who embodies the spirit of a bird soaring over the stunning landscapes of Kumaon in northern India. "Kumaon Unveiled" offers a unique, bird's-eye view of the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan mountains, tranquil lakes, and lush forests that define life in the Kumaon region.
The bird's flight, inspired by a zine created by a child from Kumaon, reveals the region's rich cultural heritage, traditional music, dance, and customs. The bird's journey becomes a path of self-discovery and enlightenment, as it forms deep connections with the Himalayan land and its people.
Through vivid animation and captivating storytelling, the project creates a harmonious coexistence of nature and culture, leaving audiences inspired to explore the world from new perspectives.
Behind The Scenes
A workshop was conducted on Zine Making in a primary school in Kumaon
During the workshop, the children's creativity flourished, resulting in a diverse array of drawings and images. These artworks later served as the inspiration and foundation for the animation.
